WAR HORSE DESIGNS
INTERIOR DESIGN FIRM
Company Profile
Before there was "War Horse Designs," there was "War Horse Furniture." A furniture company founded in Los Angeles with the ideals of using sustainable materials in building custom, one-off furniture pieces. The rugged and rustic wood from the turn of the century barns and buildings gave a new life and added a timeless feeling to the furniture. I had the chance to work with some great clients, including my first project being a $4.5 million Balinese style compound in Hancock Park in L.A., where I designed and built the majority of the wood furniture on the expansive property. While I continued my path, I became the go-to designer at NBC's corporate office for any of their custom installations. Later that year I even had the great honor of having one of my pieces featured in Architectural Digest Magazine.
After a few years of experience, I returned to school at OTIS School of Art and Design in California with an emphasis on Product Design and Development. It was there I learned the proper systematic processes of how sketches, drawings, and designs became actual products.
Shortly after, I shifted to Miami to be closer to family. I wanted to expand, not in numbers of employees, but larger scopes of work. I believe in staying small and boutique while being able to handle large scale projects, so I began down the path of "Interior Designer/Project Manager."
After year two, I got an opportunity to travel to the Philippines to design a beach club on the island of Boracay called Kama Beach Club. With a team of 78 locals over 30 days, we were able to pull off building the unimaginable. An eight-room Bed and Breakfast, state of the art D.J. Pavilion, and outdoor Balinese Tiki Bar, 16 linen-covered, beach front Day Beds, an Outdoor Restaurant, and lavish Outdoor Coral Bathrooms each fitted with rain showers. The place was a hit and received international exposure as "Boracay's Best Kept Secret."
Back in the states, I returned focused on residential interior design while being able to include my custom furniture into those projects. Here I have had the great opportunity to work on some challenging but rewarding projects. Whether it's a multi-million dollar home on the Miami Beach golf course or an overseas fabrication project for LUXOTTICA Eye Wear in Italy, War Horse Designs has a proven track record of accomplished design and execution.
To the future, War Horse Designs is looking to focus on designing and remodeling residential and commercial projects. Using my years of acquired style and aesthetic to make each project truly stand out, while maintaining intuitive design in fabrication when custom pieces are called for. Pride and dedication of work will always be a staple at War Horse Designs.
